Above: 2008 Open day
The 389th Memorial Exhibition Museum at Hethel in Norfolk is holding it's first open day of the season on Easter Sunday between 10am to 4pm. It is now the 10th year since the Museum opened to the public and they want this to be a special year.
The Museum has a wonderful exhibition of memorabilia in a restored building that once stood on an
active American base for the 389th Bomb Group 1943-45, the building was once used by Father Beck (Pappy Beck) one of the chaplains who served in the Chapel/Gymnasium building.
The Musuem boasts a unique mural and has been lovingly restored by a small group of volunteers
and is run on donations and fund raising events.
Refreshments and gift area are available and admission to the site is free.
Please be aware the exhibition is on a working farm and the Museum would ask visitors to note the following instructions on the main gate and spray your vehicle wheels before entering the site.
