Happy 91st birthday to the RAF!
The Royal Air Force was formed on 1st April 1918 and to celebrate the 91st anniversary of its foundation, RAF Museum at Hendon will have a series of re-enactors in the main halls, who will be on hand to talk about the contribution that the people they represent made to the development of the R.A.F and the defence of the U.K.
Groups will include:
• "The Old Contemptibles" displaying personnel and ground crew from World War 1
• "RAF at War" a World War 2 Desert Air Force
• "20th Century Revisited", a Lancaster crew a ground crew, who will also have on display equipment and the history of the Special Operation Executive
• "The First Allied Airborne Association" who will be located by our B-17 with a display that details the contribution that the United States Of America Air Force to England's war efforts in conjunction with the Royal Air Force.

Plus other groups who will be talking about what it was like to serve in the RAF during the 60s,70s & 80s.
