Scandinavian Night at Newark Air Museum

Saab Viggen AJSH 37, 373 918 - ‘57’ formerly of the Swedish Air Force was one of the star attractions at Newark Air Museum’s most recent Day / Night Photo Event on Saturday 11th April 2009.

Whilst much of the photography centred on the museum’s Cold War era aircraft that are displayed outside, the Viggen was available for photography inside Hangar 2 on the Southfield Site in eastern Nottinghamshire. A range of costumed enactors were available for photography with the aircraft in both air and ground crew roles.
 
During the day both the MiG-23 and MiG-27 cockpits were open for the public to view and photograph.
