WWII Luftwaffe pilot to talk at Sywell
Sywell aviation museum is giving enthusiasts a rare chance to learn about the Second World War in the air from a Luftwaffe veteran on 24 August 2009.
Ernst Specht will give a talk about his wartime experiences beginning with his childhood in 1930s Germany, his apprenticeship at a U-Boat firm and onto his flying career as a Luftwaffe Radio Operator on Junkers JU88 bombers.
Ernst was shot down in Normandy in 1944 and he has a fascinating story to tell - from a different perspective. The evening will also include a question and qnswer session. Tickets are £4.00 on the door - with proceeds going to the Sywell Aviation Museum. Raffle on the night, on site bar and restaurant with free parking.
