Former RAF Nimrod arrives at Coventry

Air Atlantique's Classic Flight is the latest organisation to take delivery of a decommissioned RAF Nimrod MR2.

Hawker Siddely Nimrod MR.2P (XV232) arrived at Coventry on Tuesday 11 May and became the latest addition to the Classic Flight Fleet.

XV232 will now be kept fully live and operational (but not airworthy) by the Classic Flight team and make the perfect companion for Avro Shackleton WR963.

The aeroplane is now being decommissioned by a team from RAF Kinloss, after which it will remain within the AIRBASE visitor centre and will be opened to the public for interior tours.
